Messy Lives.

Consider what it means to be His workmanship. Everything - your life circumstances, your personality, your talents, your strengths, your mess ups and your weaknesses - has contributed to who you are and who you have been chosen to be in Christ. Yes, we all have messed up and some worse than others. Remember though, sin is sin whether small or large according to God. Also, remember the good things such as giving a smile to a stranger, a gentleman holding a door for a lady or even a simple prayer for someone. Everything we go through, think and do is chipping away at our rough edges and restoring us to our true identity, God's Child, an heir to the One True King. Take time today to thank God for His workmanship in you! Ask Him to help you see how He has gifted you to bless the body of Christ and to bless those around you. Listen and observe. Ask Him to give you wisdom and understanding of His Word and Purpose. Follow Him as He leads you in the path of righteousness and patiently allow Him to lead. (This is a struggle for me since I enjoy being in control and hate giving up the reigns to Him). Consider what it means to be created in the likeness of God. Write down what comes to mind and meditate on it. May you be encouraged and be blessed!

Ephesians 2:8-10

The Same.

Sometimes it's hard for me to believe that God will always be the same because I've experienced so many changes in this world and in myself. When I'm in trouble or hard pressed or worried for some reason I find it difficult to truly believe that God is always going to be faithful to those who follow His Word and try their hardest to live a life worthy of the Gospel. I know I'm human and that this world tries to get me to think that God will change and that the change will not be for my good and that I cannot trust in Him always. But the Bible clearly states differently. God the Almighty will always be with me wherever I go, whether I accept His presence or not. He will also always be the same. I don't have to worry about things working out for the best because He said they would and He has proven that. I don't have to worry about the future because He said He had a plan that would prosper me and give me hope. Even writing this I am thinking of the things that I'm unsure about whether God will provide or work for the best. I ask God right now to help my heart and most importantly my mind to let go of what the devil and world have to say about who You are. I ask that I adopt His ways and the ways of the apostles knowing that God's faithfulness is true, is always good, is always available and will always stay the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I ask for wisdom to understand the words that pour from the Bible, to understand their true meaning and what I should do with them. I pray that I will not lose heart and I will keep fighting the good fight and running the race to the finish line where I will stand before the Lord with nothing left to give because all that He had provided me both physically, mentally and spiritually had all been used up for His glory and to praise His Holy Name. I thank my God for His knowledge this morning and know that this verse was not a fluke chance happening, but an orchestrated divine intervention that the Holy Spirit prompted me to dig deeper into its meaning and to apply it to my life. I thank God for His love, gentle spirit and patience. Praise be to the One True God who WAS, IS, AND IS TO COME!
